Get indexed by Google Fast

Many webmasters get asked the question “How quick can I get indexed by Google”? Rewind a few years and this was one major headache for many webmasters and SEO consultants simply because the search engines would only ever visit your website once in the month if that. As if that wasn’t bad enough they could take forever to get the new page indexed into the search results. Fast forward to the present day and this big headache has now disappeared.

Just how quick will a new page get indexed in the search engines? Is 30 seconds good enough? What about getting indexed and ranked in 60 seconds and then being in the top 20 search results? Well these questions and the one main question will be answered in this article – How do you get indexed by Goggle fast!

So without beating around the bush, ensure you have one clear focus – you are clear on what you want to be ranked for in the search engines. Make sure your target keyword(s) are decided. The quickest way to do this is to run keyword analysis and select a keyword that doesn’t have a huge number of sites competing for the same keyword.

To test the theory any site created in HTML, blog or PHP can be used but one thing that remains true is the underlying principles will be the same with the two same questions being answered:

  • How can you get indexed in Google fast
  • How does your site get ranked quickly

This article will hopefully help you with the first question. However, to ensure your have great ranking quickly and a ranking that stays you will need to exert strict control on the page you are creating. This involves checking keyword density is within boundaries, your page title, meta tags, image names, alt tags, keyword placement, bold text and heading text are all firmly in place as these are all important on-page SEO requirements,

Ok, so now the post has been published the next step is to get the page ranked quickly. Compare it to a job interview, you prepare and prepare to ensure your interview goes well. Well the same preparation is required for page ranking. Any new website that gets launched will see form the logs that Google has frequently visited. However, the secret is to get Google to visit your page more often and also make Google believe that your site content is worth indexing.

It is good practice when launching a new website to ensure that you update the content at least once a week to ensure your site has fresh content. Remember, content is king and the search engines absolutely love new fresh content. As soon as you have established yourself in the search engines and are getting indexed, you can decrease how often you add content to your site. If you add good content rich articles averaging 300-500 words every day the chances are Google will visit you frequently. If you don’t add content rich and relevant content then you have no chance of Google visiting and indexing your site.

Ok, so the first step is complete. Next you need to create some back-links to your newly created page. Once Google spots one of these back links on your page it will start to follow the link and index your new page. What this tells you is to generate more backlinks quickly and you will get indexed much quicker.

If you are using the Wordpress platform for your blog then it is essential that your ping list includes a good selection of ping sites as these will increase your chances of getting indexed.

One final tip, never underestimate what social media can do for you. The power of social networking is amazing.  Use sites such as Facebook and Twitter and also use social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Stumbleupon. These are all great platforms for getting your pages found and indexed.

You may think that all of these activities are time consuming, and you are right to think that. However, in the long run the efforts will be rewarding and the best part is that these processes can be automated from within Wordpress.  Imagine you publish a post, within minutes it will be tweeted from your twitter account, you will link back to it from your Facebook page and if you use Onlywire you can post it to 35 different social networking sites.

So sit back and wait for Google to come along and visit your page and then add it to its index.
