DESCRIBE AN AVERAGE WORKING DAY FOR YOU AT RED FERN
The majority of my working day is spent with my head deep in code and figuring out the best way to accomplish website requirements.
HOW DOES THE RED FERN WORKING ENVIRONMENT DIFFER TO THE OTHER ENVIRONMENTS YOU’VE WORKED IN?
There’s a common goal to achieve the very best for our clients, the working environment helps us achieve this goal whilst at the same time having fun and enjoying the work.
HOW DID YOU END UP IN DIGITAL MARKETING?
I made my first webpage in high school in an IT lesson when I was about 13, since then I’ve loved writing code and haven’t stopped. Web development for me is a hobby that I’m fortunate enough to turn it into a career.
WHICH CLIENTS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO BE WORKING WITH?
I’ve enjoyed all projects for clients so far because I’m getting really stuck in doing what I enjoy. I’m currently building an application for Net Digitizing who create embroidery badges for many known companies, it’s exciting to see how this project grows over the next few months.
WHICH TOOLS DO YOU USE DAY TO DAY, OUT OF INTEREST?
The tool I definitely use the most is PHPStorm, this is what I use to write my code. I use TablePlus for database management and Jira for project management. However, the most important tool is Coffee, getting me through the day working at optimal levels.
ARE THERE ANY TV SERIES OR FILMS THAT YOU RECOMMEND AT ANY CHANCE THAT YOU GET?
There are so many good TV series out there to choose from so here’s my top 3. Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Stranger Things.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVORITE NIGHT OUT SPOT?
It’s a coin toss between a night out in city center Manchester and my local town. A great night out for me consists of good company, music, drink and food!
ANY ALBUMS OR SONGS ON REPEAT AT THE MOMENT?
I’m listening to The Carter 3 - Lil Wayne, it’s been a while since I’ve listened to it but it’s up there as one of my favourites.
