Our third hire since remote working became the “new norm” is Cara and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to the team! That takes the tally up to three people who the majority of the team have only met on Zoom meetings - it’s not even weird anymore. Who’d have thought that this would be possible a few months ago?
However, it’s happened, we’re here and the team are looking stronger than ever. As we’re continuing to grow and expand, the need for a Project Manager to tie everything together and keep us regimentally organised is massive. Cara brings a wealth of experience to the role and will be a real asset to our amazing team.
She enjoys the challenging fast tempo of life within a digital agency - which is a good job too, as she’s been thrown straight in the deep end from her start date. Her passion for project management shines through in everything that she does. And she’s ready and raring to get stuck into streamlining our processes and onboarding new ways of working more efficiently.
Despite not being the most creative role within the agency, that doesn’t take away any excitement from the position. From partner to partner, the way we work differs depending on retainer levels, ad-hoc requests and new initiative introductions. The challenge of successfully scheduling this for the team is where Cara comes into her own.
At Red-Fern, we’re always looking for new ways to develop our processes so that we can continue to delight all of our partners. So, the addition of a Project Manager will certainly benefit us greatly. We’re looking forward to seeing what ideas, technology and methods Cara will introduce to the team.
Away from work, Cara has a huge passion for dance! And no, not just when she’s out in her favourite nightspot, Newcastle (we’re sure our videographer, Alan, could give you a few tips on where to head around the toon - be warned, remember your drinking boots). She’s trained in ballet, tap, modern, contemporary and jazz - we’ll leave the dancefloor to you then, Cara.
She also loves films and a binge-worthy box set - what else were we meant to do in lockdown? Cara’s recommendation that she urges people to try out is The Crown. A very underrated choice in her eyes! We think she’s playing it cool though, as she’s openly admitted that she’s secretly the biggest Disney fan ever.
As we’ve mentioned, the appointment of Cara is huge for Red-Fern and will definitely help propel us further in the right direction. We’re excited to see how she develops within her role and how the business and our partners benefit from her incredible organisation. As we continue to grow, look out for further appointments to our team as we’re not finished yet!
