Project 9: Launch date is in sight

As another week passes, we edge closer to the launch of Project 9. We’re all super excited here at Red-Fern - not only will it be nice to get back into an office, but we’re looking forward to hitting the ground running in our new destination for our brand, clients and events.

One of the things we love so much about working at Red-Fern is our close-knit team. I think we can all agree that, although there are plenty of benefits, one of the biggest drawbacks of working remotely is not seeing the team regularly. You can only get so far with Zoom calls, right?

So, with that in mind, this post will pick the minds of our expert team and see what they’re most excited for when we move into our new destination.

We’ll cover:

Improved collaboration and culture

At Red-Fern, collaboration and culture are already a pivotal part of our core values. We’re firm believers in the power that a solid team can have. If people aren’t working together and are all pulling in different directions, it’s going to end up being counterproductive. Whereas working together allows campaigns to run smoothly and different channels to dovetail.

When talking to Alex, our Creative Director, about what he’s looking forward to the most about our new destination, he said, “a new home for Red-Fern. Our new headquarters is a dynamic space that we can use to further improve collaboration and culture.” Alex is right - that is VERY exciting.

Collaboration doesn’t just refer to our internal team either. Without our partners, we wouldn’t be where we are today - and we certainly wouldn’t be moving into a state-of-the-art brand hub, would we? Our relationships need to be built on the solid foundations of collaboration. This new space for partner visits and events will allow us to interact with our partners even more.

A brand new creative space to work in

For the moment, we’re all used to working from our home offices, dining rooms, bedrooms and wherever we can get five minutes of peace and quiet really. However, this is soon about to change. When Project 9 is launched, we’ll be opening the doors to a brand new creative space for our team to spark innovation, creativity and growth.

“Having a larger creative space to work in will allow us to generate better ideas and execute all our projects with further innovation.” Again, we have to agree with what Emily, our Studio Manager, has said here. We can’t wait to get in there and see how our Red-Fern brand evolves next - super exciting.

As we keep saying throughout, this isn’t your regular office move. Not only is it a brand new creative space for us to work in, this is the birth of a new destination for our brand, partners and event space. So, while it’s a new environment to inspire growth for us, it’s a platform that’s going to add incredible value to existing and potential partners.

Increased flexibility and an adapted working approach

As a fast-paced digital agency, our flexibility levels must be high. That means that we can turn our hand to any project within any industry and deliver amazing results. At present, we’re more than confident that our expert team can easily achieve greatness on any project that they should work on. Add in a brand new creative space to that and let’s see performance soar.

Not only do we have to be flexible when it comes to our line of work - but how we approach it too. Businesses in 2020 have been largely affected by the global pandemic - and Red-Fern is no different. However, unlike many others, we’re coming out of the other end stronger than ever and have a new adapted approach to carrying out our work

Aiyub Project 9

Aiyub, a key part of the development team, said, “I’m looking forward to seeing how our new remote working approach will dovetail with time spent in the new office. It’ll no doubt increase our flexibility as a workforce and will help us grow even stronger as a business.” Aren’t we all, Aiyub? We couldn’t have put it better if we tried.

Seeing and working with the team once again

As we mentioned earlier, while working remotely has allowed us to continue to position ourselves strongly, it also has its drawbacks. At Red-Fern, culture is everything. It runs through the heart of our business and it’s formed by our amazing team. Don’t get us wrong, we’ve upheld this throughout this testing period - but we’re looking forward to being back with the team.

The lack of human interaction and engagement will have undoubtedly dawned on all people working from home - there’s no denying it. It’s safe to say that Pat, our front-end developer, has been a part of that club. Like a big playful labrador, Pat’s looking forward to getting back into the office environment and seeing the team, delivering on projects together.

Pat Project 9

“I’m looking forward to having us all back together again - and what better setting to maximise growth and innovation than a brand new workspace? It’s been weird working remotely, so I’ll be glad to get into the new place and set about what we do best.” To be honest, he’s fooling nobody - we all know that Pat is relishing the longer commute time to fit in a bit more Westlife on the way home. Each to their own, I suppose.
