Why Were We Hiring?
We keep growing! Securing more accounts and realising the potential for growth, we knew we needed to take a leap of faith and hire new members of staff.
Inbound is a vast field, and you need team members with various digital marketing skills. There's also the brand side; we need to promote our web design, development and marketing, as well as providing for our clients.
What Were We Looking For?
We were looking for a vibrant, energetic Social Media Executive to help with our brand promotion and HubSpot clients' social. We aim to start providing advanced strategies, and this marketer had to help us move towards that!
As well as needing someone who could take on a specific job role, we needed someone that would be able to learn and adapt in various areas of the marketing mix, so we chose to hire a Digital Marketing Executive to work across a range of disciplines.
How Did We Do It?
When searching for inbound marketers, you have to get someone with the right mentality, and above all, personality. So we were always focused on that.
We needed someone who could fit into our team, as well as having the mentality to drive us to where we want to be in the future. Although experience was valuable, attitude was always the driving factor.
Who Did We Hire?
Social Media Executive - Libby Faulkner
We were attracted to Libby's CV due to the variety of work she'd done at university and in her professional career. Working across various accounts in her old role meant we thought she could slot into working with client accounts smoothly.
Having a broadcast journalism degree, writing experience, customer service and social media experience meant she fit all the criteria for the role.
We were even more blown away at Libby's interview. She was on the ball, driven, up for a laugh and proved her experience was legitimate by showing us results. What more can you ask for?
What sealed the deal? She answered most of our questions without being asked!

Digital Marketing Executive - Phoebe Wright
Phoebe's age + experience were what drew us to her application. It's not every day you meet a 21-year-old with three years of marketing experience. Her potential stood out, and we didn't want to miss the opportunity to get her onboard.
What stood out was Phoebe's commitment to marketing, she's studying for her level 4 CIM qualification which means she's in it for the long haul. Skills wise, her experience with photoshop, email marketing and arranging events were all huge factors in her securing the role.
She has an analytical mind and picks out the details most people would fail to see, which will see her progress at the company. We're looking forward to watching and helping her achieve her potential, something of which we're very sure of!
