If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are a strategic thinker, and have a track record of success in digital marketing, we want to hear from you.

Red-Fern is a strategic digital agency helping manufacturing and B2B companies achieve meaningful growth through creativity, technology, and marketing. We’re looking for a Senior Digital Strategist to join our growing team, someone who can blend commercial insight, audience understanding, and channel expertise to deliver high-impact strategies for our retainer clients.

You’ll be the strategic lead across a portfolio of accounts, working closely with our account managers, designers, developers, and marketing specialists to ensure every client project is rooted in data, aligned with objectives, and driving results.

This is a senior, client-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, shaping digital ecosystems, and influencing brand and marketing performance from the inside out.

Role Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the strategic planning process across key client accounts — from discovery and audit to roadmap and execution.
  • Define and evolve marketing strategies based on business goals, audience insights, competitor research, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strategy is embedded into SEO, content, paid media, HubSpot, and web projects.
  • Develop customer journey maps, messaging frameworks, and conversion funnels tailored to each client.
  • Lead strategy presentations and monthly reviews, translating data into clear recommendations.
  • Guide campaign performance measurement, reporting, and strategic optimisation.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow accounts through innovative thinking, market trends, and platform advancements.
  • Support pre-sales strategy for new business opportunities in collaboration with the commercial team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in digital strategy, marketing planning, or digital consultancy — ideally in an agency setting.
  • A strong grasp of multi-channel marketing: SEO, paid media, content, automation, CRO, and analytics.
  • Experience building and presenting strategic plans to senior stakeholders.
  • Confident working directly with clients, and equally comfortable deep in performance data or content audits.
  • Skilled at using tools like Google Analytics, Semrush, HubSpot, Data Studio, and CRM systems to inform decisions.
  • Natural collaborator who can align creative, marketing, and technical disciplines around a common goal.
  • Commercially astute — understands how to balance strategy with client budgets and ROI expectations.

Nice to Have (But Not Essential)

  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector
  • HubSpot strategy or implementation expertise
  • Familiarity with AI-powered marketing tools and automation platforms
  • Strategic UX or conversion rate optimisation experience

We offer

  • An excellent salary based on experience.
  • Possibilities to do what you do best and to develop your skills further with training, development and certifications.
  • Flexible working: you have the choice to work from our office or remotely, and we have core working hours where you can choose your start and finish times to suit you.
  • 29 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Regular meetings about company culture and direction, team building socials and community care projects.
