Challenge

The industry of biotechnology is one of the fastest growing in the world, increasing by almost 10% in the last 5 years. Biological Preparations is at the forefront of developing world-class, alternative biotechnology that can be effective, efficient, more sustainable and easier to use than traditional, toxic and non-sustainable technology.

With ambitious growth goals, investment opportunities, and a global mission to build a bright, sustainable future, the organisation’s existing website and digital strategy had served its purpose. It was time to invest.

This investment needed to align with the organisation’s core mission and, by developing an advanced digital transformation strategy, the brand and business could realise its next growth phase.

Approach

As with any global rebrand and digital strategy, we started with the renowned Red-Fern discovery phase.

Red-Fern’s senior team directed Biological Preparations’ project stakeholders, sales and marketing team through a mix of desk research, surveys, in-person sessions, and online workshops. We explored how the existing brand, products, and messaging were being perceived in the industry, whilst also building up profiles of Biological Preparations’ existing customers, ideal customers, and the current sales process.

Once this information was collated, documented, and repositioned, it was presented to Biological Preparations in our award winning ‘Discovery Document’.

This document allows all the project stakeholders to fully understand what their business looks like today, what it wants to be in the future, the types of customers it wants to interact with, the messaging, tone of voice, and how the brand wants to be communicated.

Clean, simple design takes years of crafting & refinement.

Based on the outcomes from the discovery phase, it clearly identified the existing brand had reached a stage where it did not reflect Biological Preparations’ growth and vision to be a science-led company that develops world-class biotech products.

Connection to a brand can carry a high amount of emotion. Repositioning a company’s story is key to a successful brand launch.

Red-Fern ran through a series of brand discovery sessions, brand analysis, and style influences, delivering a clear thought process and story as to how the brand would be perceived.

The outcome is a clean, science-led style that would further influence the website design and all printed material. As part of understanding how the new brand would be utilised, we created a ‘Style Scape’, giving a full visual representation of the brand, the colour palette, the fonts, and image styles.

Site structure and user journey.

Bringing together the insights of the target audience, the brand, and business expectations, plus technology and marketing considerations, we developed a sitemap and wireframes.

This initial phase allows for a full content audit and visualisation of the site structure and intended user journeys.

High fidelity wireframes.

Managing and understanding the amount of content required on each page, whilst maintaining an engaging page layout, user journey, and design, is one of the most challenging phases in any high-level project.

Our specialist team gives clarity to this phase by creating ‘high-fidelity wireframes’. These types of layouts allow design and content to work in perfect harmony, going beyond placeholder images and ‘lorem ipsum’ text.

By simplifying and visualising page layouts, our content writers have the ability to understand how a page may look and write specifically to engage with the user.

Each page of website is strategically designed to deliver on of all the insights that are detailed from the discovery phase, making sure each page delivers on its intended goals.

 
 

Purpose driven lead generation.

From lead generation pages, credibility and culture, insights and resources, the design is meticulously created, with strategy intent for desktop and mobile devices.

Fully developed into the HubSpot CMS with bespoke templates, modules and workflow automations.

The detailed research, strategy, and implementation have been realised with the launch of an industry-leading corporate website and a world-first, groundbreaking 3D immersive website that educates visitors on biological technology.

Biotech Website Redesign
 

Pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology.

With plans to raise investment as part of the growth strategy, the decision was taken to invest in a supporting website, focusing on educating visitors and potential investors on the science behind Biological Preparations.

Our creative designers immersed themselves in biotechnology and aligned with Biological Preparations’ scientists to visualise and prototype a website journey that educated visitors with an immersive 3D experience.

 
 

HubSpot onboarding, sales automation and implementation.

HubSpot Platinum Agency

With a long-term investment into technology and marketing, HubSpot was the obvious choice. Our team onboarded the whole business onto HubSpot Enterprise, scoping and implementing the whole sales process, with detailed automations, sales and marketing best practices, Biological Preparations now benefits from business data never seen before.

Our specialist HubSpot team completed a full data migration from PipeDrive over to HubSpot, transferring all active sales pipelines, deals, contacts and companies.

With a highly engaged distributor network we also developed an external application for distributors to log potential sales deals directly into HubSpot.
