DESCRIBE AN AVERAGE WORKING DAY FOR YOU AT RED FERN

I manage client social accounts, which can involve anything from scheduling posts, writing content or editing images.

HOW DOES THE RED FERN WORKING ENVIRONMENT DIFFER TO THE OTHER ENVIRONMENTS YOU’VE WORKED IN?

I’ve worked in all kinds of environments from a pub to hairdressers, but Red-Fern is my first ‘official’ office job. Compared to some offices that I’ve worked in before the environment here is very laidback and open!

HOW DID YOU END UP IN DIGITAL MARKETING?

Whilst I was studying English Language and Literature at uni I was trying to figure out what it was I actually wanted to do. I’ve grown up with social media and when I started digging for job ideas I realised it was something I could actually build a career around. I started a blog, completed a placement in PR and realised this was the area for me!

WHICH CLIENTS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO BE WORKING WITH?

The thing I love about Red-Fern is that the clients range from dog food to nail salons, so you’re always working on something different.

If I had to pick, I’d say Reet Good is fun to work on because I love dogs...a lot.

WHICH TOOLS DO YOU USE DAY TO DAY, OUT OF INTEREST?

I mainly use scheduling software such as Sprout Social, Planoly and HubSpot to plan and organise social posts. I also use platforms such as MailChimp to create content for email marketing strategies.

ARE THERE ANY TV SERIES OR FILMS THAT YOU RECOMMEND AT ANY CHANCE THAT YOU GET?

One of my favourites at the minute is The Handmaid’s Tale, which is pretty dark but the production is amazing. If I fancy something lighthearted then I’ll just stick on an episode of Gavin and Stacey.

WHERE’S YOUR FAVORITE NIGHT OUT SPOT?

A night out in Accrington can get a bit old so I like heading over to Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds if I want a big night. My favourite spot in Leeds has got to be Stone Roses Bar minus the sticky floor.
