Content Marketing Executive
DESCRIBE AN AVERAGE WORKING DAY FOR YOU AT RED FERN
I spend most of my days wondering whether my spelling and grammar is impeccable on all my blogs! In between that I’ll be brainstorming new ideas, writing and planning how we can improve the inbound journey.
HOW DOES THE RED FERN WORKING ENVIRONMENT DIFFER TO THE OTHER ENVIRONMENTS YOU’VE WORKED IN?
Coming from a hospitality background, I’m used to running around unnecessarily humid establishments delivering food to people. Red-Fern is completely different, I don’t have to make anyone’s brews and it’s a relaxed environment.
HOW DID YOU END UP IN DIGITAL MARKETING?
I left university with a Journalism degree and wanted to combine writing and making a decent wage. I thought marketing was the ideal route to go down, and here I am, still skint!
WHICH CLIENTS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO BE WORKING WITH?
All of them! One of the reasons I decided to pursue an agency job was the diversity of the clients. Having said that, I’m looking forward to working on building the Red-Fern brand, we’re constantly thinking of ways we can improve.
WHICH TOOLS DO YOU USE DAY TO DAY, OUT OF INTEREST?
I use writing tools like Hemingway, Readable and Tone Analyzer. That way I can keep my content sharp and keep people on the page!
ARE THERE ANY TV SERIES OR FILMS THAT YOU RECOMMEND AT ANY CHANCE THAT YOU GET?
Probably Wife Swap. Although I don’t condone any of the nonsense that goes on in the show. My favourite shows of all time have to be Only Fools and Horses, Alan Partridge and Peep Show.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVORITE NIGHT OUT SPOT?
Been to quite a few places, Paris, Bristol, Newcastle and Nottingham stand out. I attempted to live in Amsterdam for a summer and lasted about 2 weeks so there were some good nights out there!
ANY ALBUMS OR SONGS ON REPEAT AT THE MOMENT?
I like Need for Mirrors or Dale Howard when I’m at the gym. I bought my daughter a Spice Girls CD but I definitely listen to it more than her.
