DESCRIBE AN AVERAGE WORKING DAY FOR YOU AT RED FERN
My typical day starts with working through my to-do list for the day and week ahead. This could be creating content, analysing data, conducting customer research among a variety of other projects and tasks. Afterwards, I might be working on marketing strategy or creating workflows. No two days are ever the same!
HOW DOES THE RED FERN WORKING ENVIRONMENT DIFFER TO THE OTHER ENVIRONMENTS YOU’VE WORKED IN?
To be honest, Red-Fern is a much more relaxed environment than my previous workplaces. Everyone likes coming to work in the morning and that is a rare thing. It’s also very collaborative; everyone is constantly discussing new ideas and that creates a fantastic atmosphere, but also produces incredibly high standard creative work.
HOW DID YOU END UP IN DIGITAL MARKETING?
Out of university I got into Marketing because I have always loved writing and creating content. Since then I have bounced around various areas of the marketing sector; from construction to the financial services specialising in both digital and traditional techniques. After experiencing each side of the coin, I began to realise that the future of Marketing is digital; and that brings me to now!
WHICH CLIENTS ARE YOU MOST EXCITED TO BE WORKING WITH?
That’s an easy question. Every client is different and all of them present unique opportunities to create engaging content and develop successful marketing strategies.
WHICH TOOLS DO YOU USE DAY TO DAY, OUT OF INTEREST?
I use a variety of tools day to day, too many to list; but just a few are Hubspot, LucidChart, Ahrefs, LinkedIn and of course GoogleDocs!
ARE THERE ANY TV SERIES OR FILMS THAT YOU RECOMMEND AT ANY CHANCE THAT YOU GET?
I watch too much TV for one human being, so I’ll keep it to my current favourites, which are Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead or anything from Marvel on Netflix. Movies; I would probably recommend Deadpool or Blade Runner 2049.
WHERE’S YOUR FAVORITE NIGHT OUT SPOT?
Usually somewhere in the Northern Quarter in Manchester if I want to go into the city. If not, there are lots of really good local pubs and bars around the area.
ANY ALBUMS OR SONGS ON REPEAT AT THE MOMENT?
‘Red Pill Blues’ By Maroon 5 and ‘As you were’ by Liam Gallagher are both incredible albums that are on repeat for me right now.
